Valagro achieved this important award in the "Best Performer of the Year" category overcoming a screening of over 600,000 financial statements by excelling on 63 final candidates with an average EBIT-DA of 18,7%, turnover higher than 91 millions on 5 millions invested and which has increased the personnel of 23% between 2015 and 2018 bringing the average to 363 employees.
The prize awarded to Valagro yesterday in the "Best Performer of the Year" category recognises the commitment that the company has made to making the issue of sustainability central within everyday life, and to investing in human capital to bring out the potential of each person with respect to their skills, competences and needs.
Giuseppe Natale, the CEO of Valagro:
"Valagro's mission is to create a sustainable future for people and nature. The concept of sustainability is anything but abstract for Valagro: it is the commitment that we have always pursued in order to achieve increasingly sustainable agriculture. That's not all. Since its foundation, the company has attached great value to the quality and continuous improvement of its business processes. As mentioned in our socio-environmental report, we have adopted strategic choices over the years that have helped us to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, as well as to develop adequate training plans to increase the value of our most precious resources, people. These choices converge towards a single goal: the excellence of our company".
