The key player of the event dedicated to the theme of efficiency in agriculture will be the complete and effective solution for the sustainable nutrition of industrial crops, consisting of YieldOn, a biostimulant developed to increase the yields of industrial crops (rice, corn, soybeans, etc.) and Opifol, a line of foliar nutrients synergistic with the biostimulant activity of YieldOn.
Beijing (China), 4 July 2019 - Valagro, a leading company in the production and marketing of biostimulants and other specialty nutrients, together with its subsidiary, Valagro Shanghai, will launch the first edition of the Valagro for Future Farming project in China with an event called "Steering the Chinese Agriculture Efficiency", hosted today at the Conrad Hotel, in Beijing.
Promoting greater efficiency for the benefit of sustainable productivity through highly innovative solutions, such as biostimulants: this will be the topic which representatives of Valagro and experts in the field will discuss during the event. Among the opinion leaders on stage will be Dr. Youguo Tian, Director of the Fertiliser Control Office, Natesc - Mara, and Prof. Qing Chen, from the College of Resources and Environmental Sciences, China Agricultural University.
The aim will be to provide specific solutions for the future of agriculture in one of the most populous countries in the world. The challenge for this country is to produce food in a sustainable manner for about one fifth of the world's population with only 9% of arable land available.
Valagro biostimulants could be a real solution regarding the need to combine productivity and sustainability, especially in key sectors of the Chinese agricultural market, such as row crops.
This is why the event will host the launch of YieldOn and Opifol for the Chinese market: the result of the exclusive GeaPower technology platform, the innovative solution composed of YieldOn, the new biostimulant based on a unique selection of plants and algae extracts, and the Opifol line, based on a unique combination of macro and micronutrients, characterised by rapid absorption, effectively responds to the need of Chinese farmers to achieve a greater return on investment, combining productivity, quality and sustainability in the cultivation of industrial crops.
Derek Fang, Country Manager Valagro Shanghai:
"In the near future in China, pressure on food production, as well as on agricultural land, will increase exponentially. Therefore, improving the yield and productivity of key crops for Chinese agriculture, such as rice, can help meet the ever-increasing food demand.
With respect to these ambitious aims, the possibility for Chinese farmers to "do more with less", i.e. to be able to count on innovative solutions that can guarantee more abundant harvests and better quality using fewer resources and technical means, is the key to a more productive production system, profitable for farmers and more sustainable for the environment. This approach has always distinguished Valagro and its offer of highly innovative, effective nutritional solutions, such as YieldOn and Opifol, which together represent a complete response to the efficient and effective nutrition of industrial crops.
