Valagro, a leading company in the production and marketing of biostimulants and other specialty nutrients for crops, has published a new edition of its Sustainability Report. New and more up-to-date content attests to Valagro's relentless commitment to sustainability as in previous years: this year, the report is once again published online, with a view to transparent and accessible information alongside greater sustainability, considering the consequent reduction of paper consumption in publishing and distributing the report in digital form.
As with past editions, the report offers a summary of the main results relating to the environmental, economic and social performance of Valagro SpA recorded up to 31 December 2019. Alongside environmental indicators, which testify to continuous improvements in processes and products to limit their environmental footprint, the report shares some important news about the safety and sustainability of the Group's manufacturing facilities abroad. It also reports on projects and activities with an impact on sustainability at an international level, such as the launch of the biostimulant Talete for sustainable water management in agriculture.
The intention is to make the Report a tool that is increasingly capable of describing the company's commitment to promoting sustainability, not only in Italy but in all countries where the Group operates. This is a concrete sign of the company's firm commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, cited at the beginning of the report, on a global level.
